From: Peter Powell Date: Tue, 14 Jul 2015 13:37:42 +0000 (+0100) Subject: Use "NOTICE *" before registration instead of "NOTICE AUTH". X-Git-Tag: rel-23-rc1~15^2~1 X-Git-Url: https://arthur.barton.de/cgi-bin/gitweb.cgi?p=ngircd-alex.git;a=commitdiff_plain;h=d118cd74b6ff342b978b493d56f9306028e364cf Use "NOTICE *" before registration instead of "NOTICE AUTH". AUTH is a valid nickname so sending notices to it is probably not a good idea. Use * as the target instead as done with numerics when the nick is not available. This mimics the behaviour in Charybdis, IRCD-Hybrid, InspIRCd 2.2, Plexus 4, etc. --- diff --git a/doc/sample-ngircd.conf.tmpl b/doc/sample-ngircd.conf.tmpl index b5db1d9e..c39df594 100644 --- a/doc/sample-ngircd.conf.tmpl +++ b/doc/sample-ngircd.conf.tmpl @@ -193,7 +193,7 @@ ;MorePrivacy = no # Normally ngIRCd doesn't send any messages to a client until it is - # registered.
